#LoveTheTeachers Campaign
In late 2015, Lidyr launched #LoveTheTeachers, a campaign aimed at recognizing the hard work and dedication of Philadelphia public school teachers. We launched this initiative to bring attention to and help alleviate some of the stress teachers face stemming from the highly publicized PA State budget impasse and long-term underfunding of schools during the Corbett administration, leaving teachers with overcrowded classrooms and often paying for supplies out of their own pocket. Every month we will randomly select a teacher from the pool of applicants to receive a $100 gift card to Staples, and anyone can make a nomination. In order to be eligible, teachers must teach at a Philadelphia Public School.
