Successfully selling a product or service on the internet is every entrepreneur's dream.  An e-commerce business is the most cost effective way to sell your products right? You can take advantage of low overhead from foregoing the costs of rent and utilities from a brick and mortar business as well as the costs associated with employing sales associates and loss prevention. While this maybe true, e-commerce businesses have some unique costs associated with them that regular brick and mortar stores don't have.  Needless to say it is important for you to do your homework before you make a final decision if brick and mortar or e-commerce is right for you.

Congratulations, you've decided to become an entrepreneur and start your first business.  After you pat yourself on the back and change your elevator pitch to people you meet at parties, it is now time to sit down and start brainstorming and planning.  The first thing you need to do is decide on is a business name.  Choosing the right business name is one of the most important decisions you have to make.

How to Chose the Right Colors for Your Website

Designing a website is very similar to decorating your home.  You spend a lot of time and money working on it so you want to get it right.  You also want it to be a reflection of you, but at the same time you want other people to enjoy visiting it.  One of the most important aspects of designing your home and your website is picking the right colors.  The colors determine the feel, look and professionalism of your website and ultimately your brand and business. It may seem simple to pick the right colors for your website .  Just chose 2 or 3 colors that you like and just go with that right?  Wrong!  Choosing the right color palette is just as important as the actual content on your site.  Choosing the wrong colors can make your website look juvenile and just plain ugly.  Here are the steps to choosing the right colors for your website.

When most new business owners decide they are ready to build their business' website, they think that once the site is done then their the online efforts are done. Building a website is more that just adding contact info, a great design and amazing pics. Before you begin building your site, you have to ask yourself the most important question in the process...What do you want your site visitors to do?
